ABOUT KAREN
There comes a point in life where experience matters more than speed...
Where depth matters more than striving. And where who you are being matters far more than what you are doing.
I am Karen Kennaby
Sovereign Guide for women at moments of transition - host, author, and creator of unique and exquisite experiences.
Women often arrive in my world when something is shifting.
Not always dramatically — sometimes quietly — but unmistakably.
A sense that life is asking for something more honest, more spacious, more true.
My work is to create environments — inner and outer — where that next becoming is able to unfold with grace.
A life shaped by hosting, beauty, and transition
Long before I had language for it, I was a host.
I began my career in hospitality, training in hotel management and rising quickly through senior roles in prestigious hotels. I loved the world behind the scenes — how experiences are shaped, how people feel welcomed, safe, and seen, and how the smallest details can transform an ordinary moment into something memorable.
That instinct stayed with me.
Over the decades that followed, I founded and led businesses, pioneered new ideas, built trusted teams, and worked at the forefront of experience creation — from conferences and international events to innovative property ventures. Alongside this, I spent more than twenty years coaching — in life, business, executive leadership, and wellbeing — always drawn to people standing at crossroads.
What connects all of this is not ambition, but attention.
A devotion to how things are held.

Coming home to what matters
As life unfolded, it asked more of me than professional reinvention.
After years of building, leading, and giving, I experienced profound burnout — a necessary pause that reshaped how I live and work. Not as an ending, but as a return.
More recently, the deaths of both my parents — within nine months of one another — opened a deeper threshold. Their passing changed me in ways that are difficult to explain and impossible to ignore. Grief softened me. Love expanded me. A quieter, truer authority emerged.
These experiences are woven into my work — not as stories to retell, but as presence. They are why I value gentleness, truth, and emotional safety so deeply. Why I trust what unfolds when space is held with care.
I now live in the ancient South Shropshire Hills, a landscape that has held me through grief and growth alike. It has rooted me, steadied me, and reminded me that becoming is a lifelong practice.
The world I create
Today, my work brings together everything I have lived, learned, and loved.
I host Unique & Exquisite Journeys for small, intimate groups of women around the world — experiences that nourish both inner and outer landscapes, and invite clarity, connection, and renewed aliveness.
I offer Sovereign Guidance for women leaders navigating transition — those who have achieved much, yet sense that life is asking for something more aligned.
I work as a Source of Experience for visionary leaders and retreat creators internationally, and as an International Travel Companion for women who still long to explore the world with beauty, safety, and confidence — without doing it alone.
I am also the author of Ellev8 Book One: Letting the Light In, the first in an eight-book series exploring the journey home to self — written not to teach, but to walk alongside.

An open invitation
If you find yourself here, it may be because something in you recognises this rhythm.
Some women arrive seeking guidance.
Some are drawn to travel, beauty, and shared experience.
Others feel a pull towards collaboration, co-creation, or hosting something meaningful together.
There is no single way to begin.
You are welcome to explore, to linger, and — if it feels right — to reach out.
We can begin with a simple exchange and see what wishes to unfold.
