Ellev8

A Sovereign Place

“I want to be in the room where it happens.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda

Ellev8 is a sovereign place...

…a room that opens from time to time for conversation, connection, laughter, and the kind of magic that happens when the right people gather.

Ellev8 is inspired by the spirit of the salon.
Beautiful spaces. Thoughtful exchange. Ease, warmth, and presence.

It is not a membership.
It is not always open.

It is something I host — occasionally, intentionally, and with joy.

Why Ellev8?

Ellev8 is, at heart, about women — elle in French — and about elevation:
of conversation, of perspective, of what becomes possible when women gather well.

The name is a play on how it sounds — elevate — and on the number 8, a symbol of balance, abundance, and infinite possibility.

Turned on its side, the number 8 becomes the infinity symbol — a reminder that harmony within ourselves, and in our lives, is not a destination but an ongoing, living journey.

Feminine and masculine — together

Ellev8 is deeply rooted in the blending of feminine (yin) and masculine (yang) qualities — both of which live within each of us.

Creativity, collaboration, kindness, and community
held alongside
structure, clarity, strength, and stability.

When either is missing, we feel it.
Like trying to fly with one wing.

Ellev8 exists as a space where these energies are naturally brought back into balance — not through effort, but through conversation, connection, and shared presence.

The power of gathering

There is something quietly powerful about small groups.

Research has shown that a group of eight can act as a tipping point for change — not through force, but through coherence, intention, and connection.

This understanding has shaped Ellev8 from the beginning.
Not as a rule, but as a rhythm.

Ellev8 Publishing

When the room opens on the page

Some Ellev8 conversations don’t take place around a table, but on the page.

Ellev8 Publishing is home to my book series — beginning with
Ellev8 Book One: Letting the Light In — written as an intimate companion rather than a teaching text.

These books are an extension of the Ellev8 room: thoughtful, reflective, and gently illuminating.

They are written for women who enjoy depth without heaviness, and who appreciate words that walk alongside rather than lead from the front.

Like Ellev8 itself, the books are not about arriving at answers — but about creating space for insight, recognition, and return.

What Ellev8 looks like in the world

When Ellev8 opens, it may take many forms:

What matters is not the format, but the feeling in the room:
ease, curiosity, warmth, and the quiet joy of being together.

When the room opens

Ellev8 opens when it feels aligned — and closes just as naturally.

An invitation may arrive for a lunch, a drink, or a gathering worth sharing.
There is no list to join, and no obligation to attend.

Just an occasional invitation to step into the room.

Ellev8 opens occasionally, by invitation.
If you’d enjoy being in the room when it does, you’re welcome to raise your hand here.

A sense of recognition

If this page feels warm rather than impressive,
if it makes you smile rather than strive,
if it sparks a quiet “yes, I’d enjoy that”

then you already understand Ellev8.

It’s not something to join.
It’s a place to gather, when the door opens.

Some of the Voices who have been in the room

Over the years, Ellev8 has welcomed a wide range of voices — women (and some men) from across leadership, business, creativity, wellbeing, and life — who have shared their wisdom, perspective, and lived experience within gatherings and summits I have hosted. Each has contributed to the richness of the room in their own way.
